This bench highlights the fundamentals of temperature regulation of a circulating liquid
Operation
A centrifugal pump (3 flow) recycles water from a main tank through a heater / cooler. A regulator
installed in an electrical cabinet, regulates the temperature of the liquid according to one of the 3 modes chosen by the student:
power dosage
Manual adjustment of P.I.D.
Automatic setting of P.I.D. (Self-adapting).
The information "temperature" may come, depending on the handling, a probe placed on the main tank or another located at the outlet of the heater / cooler.
The control of the electric heater is carried out by adjustable period wave trains (approximately 2 seconds) through a 40 amp static unit. The control of the water cooler is carried out by adjustable period wave trains (approximately 16 seconds) through a solenoid valve.
A secondary tank can discharge its contents into the suction circuit of the pump by opening a tap. It makes it possible to study the influence of a disturbance in the control loop. It is equipped with a needle thermometer.
descriptive
The bench consists of a frame on which are fixed the essential components of a temperature control process for circulating liquid :
It is provided :
Horizontal plane allowing the installation of measuring or recording devices
A storage drawer for tools and documents
Vertical plane with DIN rails for the subsequent attachment of electrical devices
Two 230V mono power outlets for powering the measuring devices.
It is mounted on wheels (including 2 fixed and 2 adjustable) to facilitate its possible movement.
