ION-EXCHANGE CHROMATOGRAPHY MP300

This driver allows the purification of proteins from biological solutions or recovery of protein byproduct feeds. We will study such as the setting and the elution of A-lactalbumin and B-lactoglobulin in whey contained on the Spherosil grafted.

Principle

This pilot's application are :

  • Demineralisation / softening of biologic or food substances.

  • The purification of proteins

  • The upgrading of the sub-products

 

Teaching objectives

  • To study the ion-exchanges chromatography

  • To distinguish the fixing and elution phases

 

Technical specifications

  • Table top bench to place on a work bench

  • A circuit made of stainless steel 316L, sanitary realization,

  • A Column in altuglas®,

  • Two stainless steel distributors, triangular mesh,

  • A feeding tank made of stainless steel,

  • A tank containing the liquid of elution, in stainless steel,

  • A tank containing the washing solution made of stainless steel,

  • A tank containing the product elution

  • A centrifugal pump

  • Sampling

  • A digital thermometer in the finding tank

  • A rotameter

  • A control cabinet including the control and security devises in painted steel

  • The analyses are done in laboratory.

 

Optional equipment :

1. Temperature/Heating control and Pt100 probe

2. Resin for extraction of the whey protein (500g)
