FLASH DISTILLATION MP1025

PRINCIPLE OF WORKING :

Flash distillation (or simple distillation) allows the separation from a feed solution of the compounds present in this solution by evaporation.

The more volatile compound is partially evaporated then, after condensation and cooling, collected separately from the solution; this solution, partially depleted in the volatile product, is itself collected in a specific circuit after cooling.

The solution is fed continuously into the evaporation chamber.

The solutions used are binary mixtures which are or are not ideal.

Technical specifications

 

EQUIPMENT :

  • Polyethylene feed solution tank; 30 litres nominal volume.

  • Feed solution metering pump, AISI AISI 316L stainless steel body, P.T.F.E. diaphragm, manual control.

  • Borosilicate glass continuous boiler, electric heating, fitted with low level safety switch and high temperature safety switch.

  • Incline condenser, borosilicate glass body, AISI 316L stainless steel exchanger with baffles.

  • AISI 316L stainless steel distillate cooler.

  • Borosilicate glass distillate receiver, fitted with a drain valve in AISI 316L stainless steel.

  • AISI 316L stainless steel concentrate cooler.

  • Borosilicate glass concentrate recevier, fitted with a drain valve in AISI 316L stainless steel.

  • AISI 316L stainless steel connecting tubes for the process and reinforced PVC tube for cooling fluid.

  • Support framework with AISI 304L stainless steel tubes, aluminium connecting nuts and adjustable feet.

     

INSTRUMENTATION :

  • Cooling water feed to condenser fitted with variable area flowmeter with its adjusting valve and water flow switch to turn off heating in case of lack of cooling water.

  • IP55 command and control cabinet fitted with emergency stop, operating buttons and the following interfaces:

  • Boiler temperature controller.

  • Two digital temperature indicators with six Pt100 Ω type probes.

1350 mm x 600 mm x 2500 mm ~ 150 kg.

230 V / 50 Hz / Single phase: 3 kW.

Cold water 10°C / 3 bar: 0.6 m3/h.
